A fitter comes to the car with a full repair kit and spare tyres in case they're needed.

Repaired to BS AU 159 or Replaced
The tyre is removed, repaired from the inside, refitted and balanced.
Which Punctures Can Mobile Puncture Repair Fix?
Most nails and screws land in the middle of the tread, and those are the punctures that can usually be repaired. The tyre is taken off the wheel and repaired from the inside with a plug and patch, not just a plug pushed in from outside.
A puncture near the edge of the tread or in the sidewall is different. The tyre flexes too much there for a repair to hold, so it has to be replaced.
The Repairable Zone
Only the central three quarters of the tread can be repaired. We'll measure where your puncture sits before deciding.
Run-Flat Tyres
Some run-flat tyres can be repaired if they haven't been driven far while flat. We'll check the inside of the tyre first.
How Long It Lasts
A proper inside repair is permanent and lasts for the rest of the tyre's life.

There's a nail in my tyre, should I pull it out?
No. Leave it in. It often seals the hole until we can repair it.
Which punctures can be repaired?
Punctures in the central three quarters of the tread, up to the size set by BS AU 159.
Can a sidewall puncture be repaired?
No. The sidewall flexes too much for a repair to hold, so the tyre needs replacing.
Can you repair run-flat tyres?
Sometimes, depending on the tyre maker and how far it was driven while flat. We'll check it first.
How long does a puncture repair last?
A proper plug and patch repair from the inside is permanent.
How much is a puncture repair?
Much less than a new tyre. We give you the price on the phone.
Can I keep driving with a slow puncture?
Only gently and for a short distance, keeping an eye on the pressure. It's safer to have it repaired straight away.
What if there are two punctures close together?
Two repairs too close together aren't allowed under the standard, so the tyre would need replacing.
