Volvo Tyres and the VOL Marking
Certain models may specify particular tyre types or approvals. We will need to check the correct specification for your vehicle. On a Volvo this can appear as a VOL marking. Matching it keeps the car closest to its original setup, though the right size, load index and speed rating are what matter most.
Plug-in Recharge models and electric Volvos carry heavy batteries, and an XC90 is a big seven-seat SUV. We check the load rating and ask about the space around the car before confirming.

Tyre Notes for Volvo
Volvo XC40, XC60 and XC90 models commonly run 18 to 22 inch wheels. Many Volvos are plug-in hybrids or fully electric, such as the EX30 and EX40, and these are heavier and usually need XL (extra load) tyres. Certain models may specify particular tyre types or approvals, so give us the full sidewall marking.
Some XC90s have air suspension. Vehicle lifting requirements vary by model and must be assessed before fitting.
Many Volvos have a tyre repair kit instead of a spare. Locking wheel bolts are common. Tyre pressure monitoring usually needs a reset through the centre screen after new tyres.
Recharge plug-in hybrids and fully electric Volvos must be switched off, following the handbook, before any work starts. Volvo SUVs used for towing should keep the correct load rating on all four tyres. Many owners also choose all-season tyres for winter. If you would like these, tell us the size and we will check availability. If your Volvo has a space-saver spare fitted after a puncture, keep to its speed limit, usually 50 mph, until a new tyre is fitted.

Yes, on a driveway or the road outside, as long as there is a safe, reasonably level space next to the car. Car parks are subject to permission.
