When Mobile Tyre Replacement Is the Right Call
Not every tyre problem is an emergency. Tread worn close to the limit, a bulge in the sidewall or a cut from a pothole all mean the tyre should be replaced soon, and mobile tyre replacement lets you do it without losing half a day.
We can replace the tyre at home before you leave for work, or in the car park while you're at your desk. You just need the car somewhere we can safely jack it up.
The 1.6mm Tread Law
UK law needs at least 1.6mm of tread across the central three quarters of the tyre. Below that the tyre is illegal and grip in the wet drops sharply.
Sidewall Damage
Bulges, cuts and cracks in the sidewall can't be repaired safely. A tyre with sidewall damage needs replacing.

What is the legal minimum tread depth?
1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tread, all the way round the tyre.
Can a tyre with sidewall damage be repaired?
No. Sidewall damage isn't safe to repair, so the tyre has to be replaced.
How long does a mobile tyre replacement take?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes for one tyre once we're with the car.
Do you balance the wheel after fitting?
Yes. Every replaced tyre is balanced on site before it goes back on the car.
Will my tyre pressure warning light go off?
Some cars need the system reset after a tyre change. Tell us your make and model when you book and we'll explain what to expect.
Do you take the old tyre away?
Yes, and disposal is included in the price we quote.
Can you replace tyres at my workplace?
Yes, as long as there's space to work safely and you're happy for us to be in the car park.
