Nissan Tyres: What Matters
The Qashqai and Juke are some of the most common crossovers in the UK, and trims run from 17 inch to 20 inch wheels. The tyre size on your sidewall tells us exactly what to bring.
Electric Leafs and Ariyas, and e-Power Qashqais, carry the weight of a battery. A replacement tyre must carry at least the original load rating, and the car must be switched off before work starts.
Leaf and Ariya
Heavier than a petrol car of the same size. Load index checked and lifting only at the marked points.

Tyre Notes for Nissan
Nissan Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail models commonly run 17 to 20 inch wheels. The electric Leaf and Ariya, and e-Power models, need tyres with the correct load rating; the Ariya is heavy and often needs XL (extra load) tyres. With hybrid and electric Nissans, the car must be switched off, following the handbook, before any work starts.
Many Nissans have a tyre repair kit and no spare wheel. Navara and Primastar need commercial (C) or reinforced tyres.
Locking wheel nuts are fitted on many models. Nissan tyre pressure monitoring often needs a reset or relearn after new tyres, which we can help with.
Qashqai and X-Trail e-Power and hybrid versions are heavier than petrol models of the same size, so check the load index on the sidewall rather than just the size. Four-wheel-drive versions are sensitive to uneven tread between front and rear, so we may suggest replacing tyres in pairs. If you have used the tyre repair kit, tell us when you call, as sealant needs cleaning out of the wheel before a new tyre goes on, and the sensor may need checking too.
Fitments vary by model, year and trim, so always check the size, load index and any approval marking on your current tyre, or in the Nissan handbook.
