Vauxhall Tyres: What to Tell Us
Vauxhall shares many of its newer models with Peugeot and Citroen, and wheel sizes vary by trim. The size on your sidewall tells us exactly what your Corsa or Mokka needs, whatever the badge says.
Many Vauxhalls leave the factory with a tyre inflation kit rather than a spare. It can't fix sidewall damage or a blowout, so stop somewhere safe and call us if the tyre is badly damaged.
Electric Vauxhalls
Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric are heavier than the petrol versions, so the load rating is checked first.
Insignia and Grandland
Larger wheels on higher trims. Send the exact size so we bring the right tyre.

Tyre Notes for Vauxhall
Vauxhall Corsa, Astra, Mokka and Grandland models mostly use standard tyres, commonly 16 to 18 inch. Electric versions such as the Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric are heavier and may need XL (extra load) tyres, so check the load index on the sidewall.
Vivaro and Movano vans need commercial (C) rated tyres with the correct load index. Many Vauxhall cars have a tyre repair kit instead of a spare wheel.
Locking wheel nuts are fitted to many Vauxhalls. Tyre pressure monitoring on newer models often needs a reset through the dashboard menu after tyres are changed, which we can show you.
Vauxhall vans used for heavy work need the right load index, and fitting a car tyre in place of a commercial tyre is not safe. If you have used the repair kit after a puncture, tell us when you call, as sealant needs cleaning out before a new tyre goes on. Check the tread on all four tyres: the UK legal minimum for cars is 1.6mm across the central three quarters of the tread. If the warning light stays on after we fit a new tyre, we can show you the reset.
Fitments vary by model, year and trim, so always check the size, load index and any approval marking on your current tyre, or in the Vauxhall handbook.
