Ford Tyres: Getting the Right One
Ford models come in many trims, and the trim decides the wheel size. A Puma Titanium and a Puma ST can run quite different tyres, so the size printed on your sidewall is the reliable guide.
Several Ford models were sold with a tyre repair kit instead of a spare. That kit will not fix a sidewall cut or a blowout, so if the tyre is badly damaged stop somewhere safe and call us.
Mustang Mach-E
An electric SUV with a heavy battery. The replacement tyre must carry at least the original load rating.
Hybrids
Kuga and Puma hybrids can be switched on with no engine noise. We make sure the car is fully off before lifting.
Transit and Ranger

Tyre Notes for Ford
Most Ford Fiesta, Focus, Puma and Kuga models use standard tyres, commonly 16 to 19 inch depending on trim. ST and ST-Line models often run larger, lower-profile wheels. The electric Mustang Mach-E is heavier and usually needs XL (extra load) tyres.
Ford Transit, Transit Custom and Ranger need commercial (C) or reinforced tyres with the correct load index for the van or pick-up. Fitting a car tyre to a loaded van is not safe. Tell us the model and the full sidewall marking.
Many Fords have a repair kit or space-saver instead of a full spare. Locking wheel nuts are common, so find the key before we arrive. Ford tyre pressure monitoring often needs a reset through the dashboard menu after new tyres.
Ford Focus and Kuga hybrids, and the electric Mach-E, must be switched off, following the handbook, before any work starts. For vans, check the load index carefully: a Transit used for heavy work often needs a higher rating than the same size on a lightly loaded van. If you are not sure, tell us what the van usually carries and we will check the right tyre with you on the call.
Fitments vary by model, year and trim, so always check the size, load index and any approval marking on your current tyre, or in the Ford handbook. Send us a photo of the sidewall on WhatsApp and we will check the right Ford tyre for you before we set off. We are independent and not approved by Ford.

Can you fit a tyre on my Ford at home?
Yes, on a driveway or the road outside, as long as there is a safe, reasonably level space next to the car. Car parks are subject to permission.
